The hunter of the ‘Batalion’ Hunting Association from Warsaw saw its buck for the first time in the Mińsk Mazowiecki district of the Association. The distance between the hunter and the animal was too large to assess the aim. Krzysztof Ositek knew, however, that it was an old buck with truly interesting antlers. Further outings into the grounds were not successful at all, but the hunter did not give up. On 6 June he went hunting again.
Instead of being on the lookout at the border between the grassland and rye field, he chose this time a young birch forest to be the site of his ambush. 30 minutes passed when in the distance of 300 metres the dream buck appeared. The hunter decided to approach it, hiding under the shadow of the forest. He was moving slowly and when he came closer at the distance of 120 metres from the animal, he rested his gun on a shooting stick and pulled the trigger. The antlers, weighting 697 grams, in the shape of an irregular twelve pointer were priced by the District Management Board of the Polish Hunting Association (ZO PZŁ) in Siedlce at 176.45 CIC points.
